Phonak Audéo EON Sphere Price: What It Costs by Tier and What the Lab Found
Prices by tier from ZipHearing, what year two adds, and HearAdvisor's lab scores at the initial and tuned fit.
If you reach ZipHearing through my links and complete an action on its site, such as submitting a form, I earn a $50 referral fee at no extra cost to you. I earn nothing from hear.com or Costco, and my links to them are plain links. Prices and terms below were read from each company's own pages in October 2026 and can change.
What It Costs, by Tier
The EON Sphere comes in three technology levels. These are ZipHearing's listed prices per pair, read on October 7, 2026. The number in the model name is the tier.
| Model | ZipHearing's label | Price per pair |
|---|---|---|
| Audéo EON Sphere 90 | Premium | $4,598 |
| Audéo EON Sphere 70 | Advanced | $3,598 |
| Audéo EON Sphere 50 | Mid | $3,198 |
The price includes a year of local follow-up. ZipHearing's model page says the first year of fitting, programming and follow-up care is included and appointments after that are $65 each. It also confirmed to me by email on October 7, 2026 that a hearing test can cost up to $150, credited if you buy, and custom earmolds are $50 each. The model page lists a 45-day risk-free trial and a 3-year warranty.
What the Lab Measured
HearAdvisor scored the EON Sphere 5.0, Grade A, with a "top 1% of prescription hearing aid" badge, the strongest badge of the 13 aids on my lab page. The page doesn't say which tier it tested. Its listed price, $4,598, matches the 90 tier, so I'd treat the scores as the top tier's and not assume they carry to the 70 or 50.
| Fit | Speech in Quiet | Speech in Noise | Own Voice | Music | Feedback |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Initial (out of the box) | 4.0 | 3.7 | 2.8 | 4.1 | 4.6 |
| Tuned (professionally adjusted) | 4.3 | 4.5 | 2.8 | 3.7 | 4.6 |
Two things stand out. Tuning matters: speech in noise goes from 3.7 to 4.5, one of the biggest gains I saw (the Sphere Infinio Ultra moved from 3.1 to 4.5), so the fitting is part of what you're buying. And music streaming gets worse after tuning (4.1 to 3.7), a trade-off I saw on most of the aids. Own voice is the weak spot at 2.8. The full comparison across 13 aids is on my prescription lab data page.
How It Compares
Against the Costco Rexton Reach, which scored 4.6 and sells for $1,599.99, the EON Sphere's extra cost buys mostly noise performance (4.5 tuned against 2.5). It does not buy a better grade, since both are A. If restaurants are your hardest room, that gap is real. If your trouble is one-on-one conversation, the two are closer. See the full ZipHearing, hear.com and Costco comparison.
The older Phonak Sphere Infinio Ultra is a different aid. HearAdvisor scored it 4.9, and ZipHearing now tags it "outdated" on its site. Don't assume the EON Sphere inherits that score or the reverse.

- Which tier is this quote for, and what does the same tier cost at a clinic near me?
- Do you run real ear measurements at the fitting? The lab's tuned numbers assume the aid is fitted to targets.
- What does a visit cost after the first year, a hearing test, and custom earmolds if I need them?
- If I'm in a noisy room a lot, how will you adjust it for that?
