If you reach ZipHearing through my links and complete an action on its site, such as submitting a form, I earn a $50 referral fee at no extra cost to you. I earn nothing from hear.com or Costco, and my links to them are plain links. I haven't worn this aid; the lab scores are HearAdvisor's, not mine. Prices and terms below were read from each company's own pages in October 2026 and can change.

What It Costs

The Silk comes in five technology levels, and the number before IX is the tier, with 7 the highest. These are ZipHearing's listed prices per pair, read on October 14, 2026.

ModelZipHearing's labelPrice per pair
Silk Charge&Go 7IXPremium$3,398
Silk Charge&Go 5IXAdvanced$2,798
Silk Charge&Go 3IXMid$2,698
Silk Charge&Go 2IXLow$2,598
Silk Charge&Go 1IXEconomy$2,398
ZipHearing lists the Silk at $2,398 to $3,398 a pair. Other sellers price it differently, so get a written quote for the same tier from a local clinic. Its customer rating on ZipHearing is 4.58 from 17 reviews, ZipHearing's own count.

The price includes a year of local follow-up. ZipHearing's model page says the first year of fitting, programming and follow-up care is included and appointments after that are $65 each. It also confirmed to me by email on October 7, 2026 that a hearing test can cost up to $150, credited if you buy, and custom earmolds are $50 each. The model page lists a 45-day risk-free trial and a 3-year warranty.

This is an instant-fit in-the-ear aid, a 2023 release. ZipHearing's own Zeal review says instant-fit in-ear aids such as the Silk have shown higher return rates than receiver-in-canal aids, with comfort, occlusion and retention the common reasons. The 45-day trial matters more here than on most aids.

What the Lab Measured

HearAdvisor scored the Signia Silk Charge&Go IX 3.7, Grade B, with a badge reading Top 76% of prescription hearing aids. It is a 2023 release and its page is dated September 15, 2026. The lab page doesn't tie the score to one of the five tiers, so treat it as the Silk line's score and not a promise for the 1IX.

FitSpeech in QuietSpeech in NoiseOwn VoiceMusicFeedback
Initial (out of the box)2.71.43.6None4.6
Tuned (professionally adjusted)4.62.21.5None4.3
Scores out of 5. The tuned scores were read from HearAdvisor's product page on October 14, 2026; the headline score, badge and initial scores were read on October 6, 2026. The lab lists no music streaming for this aid. The lab tests on a standard, sloping moderate hearing loss (its N3 profile), so these scores don't tell you how it handles a severe one.

Tuning does a lot here. Speech in quiet goes from 2.7 to 4.6 and noise from 1.4 to 2.2, but own voice falls from 3.6 to 1.5 in the tuned setup, which used a tulip dome. With no music streaming, it is a speech-in-quiet aid first. That is the case for the Silk: among the aids on my lab page it is the lowest-priced in-ear option, at $2,398 to $3,398.

How It Compares

The Oticon Zeal is the other in-the-ear aid on my lab page: $4,598, scored 4.7, and it streams. The Silk costs $1,200 to $2,200 less and scored 3.7. If you want the in-ear shape at the lowest cost, that gap is the Silk's case; if you want the best in-ear lab score, it is the Zeal's. For the Costco alternative, see the ZipHearing, hear.com and Costco comparison. The Costco Rexton scored 4.6 at about $1,600 a pair (Costco's listing starts at $1,599.99; confirm the exact model at the warehouse).
